🌟We are thrilled to share the latest buzz on the renovation journey at our special education school in midtown Manhattan! 🎉 Phase 1, is now completed and buzzing with energy since April, and now, Phase 2 is in full swing! The walls are up, plumbing is in place, and the entire space is taking shape. Lights are shining, outlets are humming, and the mechanical system is ready to impress! 🔧💡 But that’s not all – we’re gearing up for the grand finale!

Our team is coordinating the custom cutting of LVT flooring based on our as-built laser scan to verify all spaces are in alignment with the initial design intent, and any final tweaks are made as part of the fabrication. While coordination has been challenging, being able to integrate our technologial tools into the construction process has been an incredible aide, and has allowed the fabricator to seemlesly integrate our data into the watercutting process. The result will be an integrated flooring system bringing to live our vision of the “mini city” without the cleints needing to worry about the wear and tear of applied decals or other methods of flooring treatment.

In addition to wrapping up the flooring and coordinating the mini-city woodwork, the final touches include the installation of lighting controls and the fire alarm system, critical to an energy efficient and safe educational facility. Once these are in place, we’re ready for our final inspection, marking the countdown to the completion letter from the DOB! 🏁✉️
