West End Avenue
New York, NY.
Manhattan Facade Repairs.
Built in 1912, this building was designed in the neo-Renaissance style to resemble the elegant and luxurious palazzos of sixteenth-century Rome. It is supported by a stone base and utilizes multiple terracotta and stone wall panels between layered brick. There are 2 water tables protruding outward on the 10th and 11th floors, as well as 4 window lines with balconies and terracotta segments along the perimeter of the edges.
West End Avenue is a 12-story terracotta building located within the historic Upper West Side District of Manhattan. This building was built in 1912 and still retains much of the original terracotta ornamentation.
In addition to overall façade reparairs, the challenge for M + S team will be the replacement of Juliette Balcony. Thankfully our laser scan of the building has helped us to accurately document the details of the terracotta segments and will facilitate mold creation for the replacement pieces.
