OUR HISTORY
Mayta + Sebastian Architecture D.P.C. is an Architectural Design and Consulting firm recognized for it’s expertise in building, design, and restoration/rehabilitation. Our firm services clients in a wide range of industries including residential, commercial, education and industrial. The practice leverages emerging technologies, and specializes in building envelopes and forensics as well as new design for both residential and commercial projects. We strive to reach beyond project specific and emergency issues and create spaces that benefit all occupants, as well as provide comprehensive services for the life of our client’s buildings.
M+S uses the latest technology (laser scanners, BIM, Infrared, and drones) to analyze existing building and design new structures, and we work closely with all clients so all projects are developed within the requested timeline and budget.
M+S has a strong commitment to create a room for women and minorities in the field of construction and support education in underdeveloped communities.

Raul E. Mayta, R.A.
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT - FOUNDER
Raul is a licensed Architect in NY, NJ & Florida and registered as a NYC QEWI (Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector) with an extensive experience in high rise building envelopes, design, and restoration. Raul leads our Exterior architecture team specializing in restoration of high rise buildings. He also offers consulting for six NYC based architecture & engineering firms. With a background in Industrial and civil Engineering, Raul brings the technical knowledge to respond to the exciting challenges of construction. Raul's passion for nature, lasting construction details and new technologies allow our teams to provide energy & cost efficient designs that inspire, and achieve longevity for years to come.
Hannah Sebastian De Mayta
OPERATION MANAGER - FOUNDER
Hannah splits her time leading our Building Analytics team bringing a scientific and technologically advanced approach to all our projects. When she's not in the depths of a point cloud or Building Information Model, you will find her guiding our Interior architecture team Specializing in high end residential projects, but with a love for commercial and office interiors. Having grown up in a family of Artists, Engineers, and Architects, Hannah brings a breadth of experience to serve our Design clients. From her days sanding corners off sharp cabinets for her parents contracting company, Hannah has always been drawn to quality design and the attention to detail required to accomplish great works. Hannah works closely with our clients to make sure they live and work in spaces they will thrive in.
Luz mayta
PERU OPERATIONS MANAGER
Meet Luz our new Operations Manager in Peru. She was a Banker for 17+ years and has a huge experience in finances. Luz has experience working with a large group and will be working closely with the Peru team.
Jodi-Ann daniels
NYC SALES AND OPERATION ASSOCIATE
Jodi-Ann joined the M + S team in the capacity of Sales and Operation Associate after 9 years of experience in Operation Management. She is a trained Geologist who worked 5 years in Telecommunication focusing on Cell Towers and Fiber Optics in her home country of Jamaica. After relocating to the United States, Jodi-Ann worked in the construction field in various trades for over three years. She has experience in marketing, sales, and managing a large team. Jodi-Ann is excited to learn about the Architectural field and expand her construction knowledge
Giuliana Alan
BIM MANAGER
Giuliana is a Licensed Architect in Peru and Leads our Lima office. In addition to her design and construction knowledge, Giuliana is our documentation master who spearheads the conversion of our laser scans to 3D BIM models, and beyond, by creating our comprehensive repair documents, diagrams and visual communications shared with owners, consultants and contractors.
Von Williams
FINANCE OFFICE/ MANAGER
Von joined Mayta + Sebastian in early 2023. She studied business management at the University of Kentucky, and worked in banking for five years before moving towards office administration. She worked as office manager/bookkeeper for a Lexington law firm for two years before relocating to NYC with her husband, two dogs and hedgehog. Von is excited to be a part of such a hard-working, dynamic team and hopes to help M+S continue its growth.
Luis Villar
PROJECT ASSOCIATE
Luis joined our M+S Peru team as a project associate specializing in Building information Modeling taking this chance to transition from his prior experience as an on-site construction project manager to learn more of the front-end documentation process. He assists on all of our projects starting translating our point clouds to Revit Models, then carrying them through the design process to Construction Documents followed by as-built documents used to guide property owners and project managers on future building maintenance programs.
JONATAN MARCOS
PROJECT MANAGER
Jonatan began his architecture career in Spain with an interior design studio specializing in luxury residential projects, handling graphic documentation, and supervising technical teams. Five years ago, Jony relocated to New York and shifted his focus to exterior restoration, emphasizing building envelope evaluation and restoration. He has managed numerous restoration projects in New York City as a Project Manager and Rope Access Technician Inspector. Jony recently joined Mayta + Sebastian, where he continues to develop his skills.
Nimer Arenas
PROJECT ASSOCIATE
Nimer joined the M+S Peru team as a project associate after gaining experience as an intern Architect in California where he honed his technical Revit skills, and mastered the art of accessory dwelling units. Nimer spends his time producing amazing Revit models alongside Luis and Giuliana, and brings with him the curiosity to test new workflows, software, and modeling techniques. He assists on the documentation of all of our projects and is working with the BIM team to develop the next level of project delivery and M+S Building Management tools.
EVAN DORNHELM
PROJECT ASSOCIATE
Evan joined the M+S team as an intern, where he assists Project Managers and Principals in various tasks. Currently, his role as Project Associate involves supporting the team with project coordination and management, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient communication. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology from New York City College of Technology (City Tech), which provided him with a solid foundation in construction principles and techniques. Evan looks forward to applying his knowledge and gaining practical experience in the architectural field.
Shivani Rajwade
PROJECT ASSOCIATE
Shivani Rajwade was born in Pune, India, and moved to the United States in 2021 to complete her Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University. She has a strong fascination for heritage buildings and is excited to bring her passion to the M+S team. She strives to continue safeguarding the stories and cultural significance embedded within every historic site. Shivani joined the M+S team as a Project Associate to assist the Project Managers and Principals on various façade restoration projects in New York City
David Lee
PROJECT ASSOCIATE
David Lee Bermudez holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union. He has a diverse background in design, digital fabrication, and high-end wooden furniture making. His unique approach to design is deeply rooted in the belief that beautiful design is a product of thoughtful and intelligent construction. He emphasizes the idea that the first act of construction begins with a drawing, viewing the sketch as a critical first step toward realizing a meticulously crafted final product.
