8th cycle FISP Inspections, report filing, facade restoration and roof replacement.
Raul Mayta R.A. conducted the facade/envelope review and filed the 8th Cycle FISP report mandated by the NYC DOB. Full height (36 stories) scaffold drop was conducted along the south facade; as well as, the east, west and north elevations to verify safety and stability of exterior components. The review included water testing at locations affected by moisture infiltration, sounding of masonry components including previously patched columns and eyebrow sections completed by others. M+S assisted the Board and management with filing, administration and sign-off of the necessary Facade & Roof repair project. Facade and Roof Repairs: Facade repairs specified included repointing of spalling mortar joints, replacement of cracked bricks, patching and coating of crack eyebrow/slab sections, encapsulation of precast coping segments, reinforcement of fence posts, installation of new counter-flashing along parapet walls, application of water repellents, and replacement of the existing roofing system. |
